First of all regrets about the failure of this sat's program...however..here's what was supposed to be said....

So basically what a designer is...well ..a designer has to have a mind of a designer but an eye of a customer...that is to say when you design you think from a designer point of view but when u view ur outcome..u see from a customer's point of view. Now lemme say bout how to design or how designing is done..

1. the tools a designer uses: photoshop, illustrator, maya, gimp, flash, and the list goes on and on...but dont forget the two most basic equipment that every designer uses and is common is a paper and pen. Always have a rough sketch on paper before you actually sit infront of the monitor.
2. One must have orginality to do designing but that in anyway doesnt mean that you shouldnt be using other ideas if it helps u save ur valuable time like making use of template, brushes,etc. However,if u have enough time, originatlity is always appreciated.

Now speakin bout tips well i dont have any to share as i myself aint a pro..well i ainta rookie either so i can atleast share my mistakes from which ive learnt..so here are the stuffz:

• think bout dimensioning very thoroughly such as does the background tile, does it fade to whitespace , do elements resize,etc.Not everyone's computer may be HD supportable so something u designed on u high-fi graphics inbuilt system may not look the same while presented elsewhere so a plain design might help.
• although even basic html lets you change the color of a link used in page..but never ever do that..just digest the fact links alwyz go blue...just have some really really rare exceptions.
• Nowadays every browser has flash inbuilt and since things acheivable from java cant be achieved from html and some things done by html cant be done by java so there is no hesitation using java and html side by side.
• Okay then comes WEB PAGES...
  
  • when u come to designing of a page..better have it in 980X1000 or 800X1000
  • Use normal fonts i.e. browser compatible fonts
  • Choose font color wisely
  • Most important thing a designer always forgets about is content management..one must design a page based upon what contents and its size is goin g to be
  • always give varities of work to choose from to the customer or whoever being presented to
  • use of CSS is one of the most efficient ways of designing ..but going in detail into that would require another article so u may google it ; )
• last but not the least...always have ur workspace or say make ur work presentable instead of throwing up the design straight away you can present it as how it is going to look in real time
