We are elated to see the participation of wonderful developers,
enthusiasts in today's Pre-meetup: Mobile Apps Hackathon - I. In
addition, it was a delight to have such great discussion. I would like
to brief few points of the meeting.
The list of the ideas put on the table for the hackathon are as
follows:
1. App Store (with local payment through operators – maybe need to
collaborate with Ncell)
2. Tourism related App (locations information)
3. Open Data related App
4. Chat Application
5. Khanchuwa.com (food rating)
6. Game dynamics
7. Open sale (tracking sale)
8. Hamro bazaar
9. Mobile dictionary
10. Hello sarkar
It was also discussed that inclusion of web api will lessen the
processing hassles in mobile phones.
The platform to develop the app are Android and J2ME for now. However,
it doesn't mean we are not including other platforms. We still can
discuss in this group about it. The technical know-how of the Android
and J2ME (including Kannel) will be upload by Anish Shrestha (NOSK)
and Rohan Maleku (YIPL) respectively. I request them to start a new
post in this group for that purpose.
Since we haven't finalize on which idea we are going to develop the
app, I would like to request you to give your valuable suggestions for
new ideas and discuss to finalize one for the hackathon. Lets try to
finalize by coming Thursday i.e. Nov 24, 2011.
Finalizing the Mobilenepalis who will be participating the hackathon
will be done in this week and will be informed to all.
If anything is missing, do express it freely.
